Introduction: A 37-year-old male presented with ischemic changes of bilateral hands and forefeet secondary to vasopressor use.
Methods: A multidisciplinary approach was taken to allow for full demarcation of ischemic areas in preparation for final surgical intervention.
Results: After a prolonged period of demarcation, partial amputations of each hand and foot was done with a multidisciplinary approach to ensure that major amputations were avoided and that the patient could maintain mobility.
Discussion: Peripheral gangrene can be a serious complication of vasopressor use. While some advocate for early amputation, we advocate for prolonged wound care and monitoring to allow full demarcation to occur. This allows for as much soft tissue and limb preservation possible, to provide improved outcomes for our patients.
